Introducing MUNI ART GALLERY and Curator MUNI

On June 2, 2025, MUNI ART GALLERY officially opened its doors.

MUNI ART GALLERY is a curated shop of canvas prints and art posters, built around the concept of “your own gallery” — a space where you can collect and surround yourself with artwork you truly love.

Each piece is carefully selected by MUNIRA_ILLUST (please call her MUNI), an artist and curator who only shares artwork that resonates deeply with her personal sensibility.

About the Curator – MUNI

Born in Japan in 1976, MUNI was a girl who loved to draw. As she grew up and moved away from her hometown to live and work in different places, she gradually drifted away from drawing. One day, a colleague saw a poster she had designed at work and said, “You’re someone who can draw.”
That simple comment brought back memories and made her realize that even though she had not drawn for years, she had always carried within her the identity of a person who draws.

In November 2020, MUNI picked up her pens and brushes once again. Through social media, she discovered a world full of people who create art, and she began connecting with other artists. Amid the overwhelming flood of works called “art,” certain colors, lights, landscapes, and stories quietly touched her heart.

Among them, the works of EMUANDEMUZ and KOCKA (kočka) stood out. Despite their vastly different styles, both artists share a quiet love and gentle dignity at the core of their creations. MUNI thought,
“I want to create a gallery filled only with artwork that speaks to my soul.”

With that conviction, MUNI ART GALLERY was born — and MUNI stepped into the role of curator, sharing these cherished pieces with the world.
